Teach to lead. Lead to serve.
I am an educational consultant and a public speaker specializing in staff professional development, program improvement and inclusive education. I graduated with honors from St. Mary’s College of California with the degree of Master of Arts in Teaching Leadership. My background includes a Bachelor of Science degree in Occupational Therapy and post-graduate studies in Special Education. At present, I am attending the Doctor of Education in Educational Leadership program at the University of Southern California to expand my advocacy towards diversity, equity, and inclusion in education, with focus on the achievements and positive outcomes of students with disabilities.

Prior to working as a program coordinator and a consultant, I taught students with special needs for 15 years using evidence-based instructional strategies which earned a nomination for Teacher of the Year in 2011. I was also featured in an article by the East Bay Times in August 2017 for my Edtalk on Inclusive Education at the California Teachers Summit, alongside Dr. Jill Biden. As part of my advocacy for inclusive education, I actively participate in educational conferences as a presenter and an Edtalk speaker, mentor and coach teachers and parents of individuals with disabilities, and serve as a voice to the special needs population on social media.

As a strong proponent of evidence-based strategies that promote student achievement through diversity, equity, and inclusion, my vision is to fully equip and socially empower marginalized student populations by building capacities and through community partnerships. Get in touch today to know more about my advocacy, projects and services.
