Limited Capacity seats available

Over twenty years ago mediation was introduced into the world of Special
Education through its integration into the IDEA. This was followed by the introduction of Resolution Sessions, and while not mandated, FIEP’s. These resources, along with DPH’s and the CC Process make up the core of our current Dispute Resolution OS.

In this session, the presenters, sharing from our combined forty-six plus years in the fields of Education and ADR, will explore a framework for upgrading our current OS to a more robust, flexible, and innovative version 2.0, Conflict Engagement OS. Building on the topic of this conference, version 2.0 is committed to nurturing an individual’s awareness of their relationship with conflict. We will then introduce a framework for adding “customized applications” to the OS in order to build individual, collective, and organizational capacity for the effective engagement of conflict. This is fundamental to our ability to address the complex needs of the students we serve through shared learning, innovation and creativity (SDI).
