Build TRUST--the coin of the (education) realm! FILLING
Limited Capacity filling up

TRUST is necessary for excellent education.  Positive relationships between schools and families are vital. Yet, current dispute resolution approaches fail to promote either. Instead, they are costly and anxiety-producing for all, even with NO evidence that they improve student outcomes.
This interactive session will explore whether today’s due process approach, even with ADR options, is still appropriate or necessary and what mindset shifts we need going forward. Together, participants will rethink our systems for most students with disabilities and contemplate positive, innovative approaches, including a brief mention of SpedEx, Massachusetts’ trust-based child-centered ADR. It’s time for change!
